Mission of The Fatherhood Center
Our mission is to uplift and support fathers in Milwaukee by providing them with the tools, resources, and knowledge they need to be the best parents they can be. We aim to foster strong parent-child bonds, enhance co-parenting dynamics, and promote financial stability. Through our programs, we strive to change attitudes and beliefs around parenting and marriage, empowering fathers to take an active role in their children’s lives and build brighter futures for themselves and their families.

From Darnell Fitchpatrick, Founder & Executive Director of The Fatherhood Center
I founded The Fatherhood Center with one mission in mind: to uplift fathers and help restore the foundation of families.
As a father, husband, minister, and community advocate, I’ve seen firsthand the power of a present and prepared father. I’ve also seen how many men feel overlooked, under-equipped, and under-supported in their roles as dads.
The Fatherhood Center was created to change that—not to judge fathers, but to journey with them. Not to lecture, but to listen. Not to fix men, but to walk with them as they grow into the fathers, partners, and leaders they are called to be.
This work is personal. It’s rooted in faith, love, and the belief that every father matters—because when fathers thrive, families flourish.
Whether you’re joining us for a workshop, a literacy pop-up, or simply searching for encouragement, know this: you have a place here. The Fatherhood Center is not just a program. It’s a movement. It’s legacy work. It’s love in action.
